Revision

Revision, or translation editing, is the first quality check in the translation process. The reviewer compares the translation with the source text to ensure that the message remains faithful to the original and free from spelling, grammatical, typographical, or formatting errors. At the same time, the content is adapted to suit the target culture, and terminological consistency is guaranteed. Ensures everything fits together, flows smoothly and makes perfect sense.

proofreading

Proofreading is the final quality check and polish before publication. Its aim is to refine the final translated version by working exclusively on the target text, not the original, so that it sounds as if it were written directly in the target language. Proofreading primarily focuses on linguistic accuracy, identifying and correcting errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and style. However, it can sometimes include an element of cultural adaptation โ€” for example, ensuring that vocabulary and expressions donโ€™t feel like literal copies from the source language and that the text reads naturally in the target language.ย

Unlike revision, proofreading doesnโ€™t check the accuracy of the translation, although we can occasionally compare specific sections with the original text if needed.

All our revisions and proofreading are carried out by native professionals in the target language. This ensures a flawless result, making your text read as if it were originally written in that language.
